Do I need an internet connection?
No. All of our dictionaries and The World Factbook work completely offline. The full database is stored on your device, so you can look up words and country data anywhere in the world without a connection or roaming charges.
I already bought the app. How do I get it back on a new device?
Sign in to your new device with the same Apple Account you used to buy the app, then open the App Store, go to your account, and choose Purchased. Our apps are one-time purchases, so re-downloading them costs nothing.
Are updates free?
Yes. Every update is free for anyone who has bought the app.
Which devices are supported?
Advanced English Dictionary and Concise English Dictionary run on iPhone and iPad. The Translations dictionaries are made for iPhone. The World Factbook comes as two apps — World Factbook & Atlas for iPhone and World Factbook & Atlas HD for iPad. The table below links to each listing on the App Store.
The audio pronunciation is not playing
Check that the ring/silent switch on the side of your device is not set to silent, that the volume is turned up, and that audio is not being routed to a paired Bluetooth device such as headphones or a car. If it still does not play, email us and tell us which word you tried.
How do I request a refund?
All purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds go through them rather than through us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and choose the purchase you want to report. We would rather fix the problem for you, though — please email us first and give us a chance.
What data do the apps collect?
None. Our apps do not collect, use, or share any of your personal information. Each app has its own privacy policy, linked from its App Store listing.
